Meet the Band

Glenn Hofmann

HORNS & VOCALS

Trained in the classics of Rachmaninoff and Fauré, Glenn also grooves in jazz, R&B, and pop, and explodes in his passion of the blues. A multi-instrumentalist, Glenn studied saxophones and clarinet in the studio of Michael Guerra, the former principal clarinetist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and famous instructor of numerous jazz legends such as Stan Getz and John Coltrane. Glenn appears with bands throughout the area including gigs in Philadelphia, New York, and the Berks Jazz Fest, and says, “I really enjoy the opportunity Dolcetto provides me to work with my wife Deb.”

Debra Hofmann

PIANO & VOCALS

A professionally trained pianist and music educator, Deb’s talent as a keyboard accompanist and soloist is highly respected. With over 30 years in performance and music education, Deb has experience in a wide variety of musical genres. Teaching children the value of “open-minded ears” is always in the forefront of her musical message. Some of her favorite musical influences are as wide ranged as Mozart to Billy Joel, Gershwin, and Oscar Peterson. Her jazz roots began in high school and then Elizabethtown College jazz band, where she first met a sax player named Glenn. The rest is history!

JEFFREY HALBERT

PERCUSSION & VOCALS

Jeff’s passion for playing the drums started at an early age while banging on pots and pans in the family kitchen. More formal training began in fourth grade and has continued to develop from there. Through concert bands, jazz bands, and more recently playing throughout the Lehigh Valley, New York, and the Jersey Shore with other talented musicians, Jeff enjoys playing various styles from jazz to rock to pop. Whether jamming on the drum kit or scaling it down to the cajon, Jeff’s smiling face spreads his love of music while sharing the stage with his extremely talented in-laws in Dolcetto.
